Information Technology Division
The IT Division installs and operates the University's high-speed wired and wireless network infrastructure and connection to the Internet, a SIP based VoIP telephone system, and provides central file storage and email facilities. We also make available a range of standard software, public-access computer labs and printing facilities. On-line information and a Helpdesk are available for consultation.
Staff support
Reports on hardware faults or network problems and requests for advice on the use of computer systems should be made to our Helpdesk.
You can either:

- get telephonic assistance on +27 46 603 8288
- or visit them in person on the middle floor of Struben building.
The Helpdesk is open during normal core University office hours, i.e. Weekdays between 08:30–13:00 & 14:00–16:30.
No support is provided after hours or on public holidays.
Student Support
Our Student Networking service provides a way for students to make use of their own private computers on the University's network. A separate page details the intricacies of this service, including the support available to students via our student Helpdesk.
