University Policies
These are policies that have been formally approved by the University's council and, as a result, are binding on all staff, students and visitors to the University. They are subject to regular review through an approved process.
Internal Policies
These policies usually clarify a particular point or issue that's dealt within in a more general way in one of the University Policies. In general they should be considered extensions of the more formal policies.
Procedures
Procedures define the process through which someone must go in order to achieve a specific goal. The procedures here generally clarify a particular process that's mentioned in one of the University Policies.
Best Practices
These best practice documents provide information on norms and minimum standards. They are usually referred to by one of the aforementioned documents.
