African Initiatives

What is African Initiatives?

African Initiatives is a project aimed at making Rhodes University more visible and relevant in Africa and in African related scholarship by drawing on the strengths of collaborative efforts between academics from the University and other African scholars.

Rhodes University has a vision to be an outstanding internationally-respected academic instituion which proudly affirms its African identity. This vision cannot be fulfilled if relevant contributions from and collaborative efforts with the rest of Africa are ignored.
