Valance started working at the ISER as the Administrative Assistant in July 2009 and becamethe Office Administrator in January 2012. He is the first port of call for all visitors to the Institute. Prior to working at the ISER, Valance worked as a Public Relations Assistant at Mercedes-Benz SA for eight years.
