Nimi Hoffmann is pursuing a PhD on the role of trust in innovation, e.g. what happens to the rate and nature of innovation in a community when individuals do not trust the intellectual goods produced by their own community? Her research interests include experimental economics, the history of universities in Africa, the economics of discrimination, virtue epistemology, the knowledge commons and regional integration in Africa.
