Capital flows in the health care sector in East and southern Africa

This three-year study, funded by the Southern Africa Trust (SAT) considers issues of equity and access to healthcare, and reviews past trends of private capital flows in east and southern Africa. The project investigates key entry points for capital and forms of commercialisation. Policy, regulatory, institutional and public responses to the capital flows in the healthcare sector at local, national and regional level are also being studied.
Partners include EQUINET, SEATINI, York University and TARSC. Country studies are taking place in Kenya, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Uganda.
