MTN CHAIR OF MEDIA AND MOBILE COMMUNICATION
Harry manages the Iindaba Ziyafika project, a Knight News Challenge Grant winner, on behalf of the JMS.
Prior to joining the JMS Harry helmed a variety of communication and strategy consulting projects helping to develop the first four seasons of Soul City (radio and TV), the cartoon strip Madam & Eve, Old Mutual’s On the Money TV, Radio and print programmes and the Presidency’s Scenarios 2014 and Scenarios 2025 projects.
Between 2001 and 2006, he co-managed government’s Khomanani Health Communication campaign. Harry’s interests include the impact of digital technology on democracy, communications and behaviour change, health journalism, mobiles and health, and understanding citizen journalism and popular participation in media in the digital age.
