Professor Guy Berger oversees all the school's projects. He also teaches and researches in new media, media policy, convergence and journalism education. He is chairperson of the Board of Grocott’s Mail, and writes a column online for the Mail & Guardian. Berger is also active in the South African National Editors Forum, and won the organisation’s Nat Nakasa Award for media integrity in 2006.
