Tutoring and Graduate Assistant Bursaries

Academic departments are responsible for the allocation of Graduate Assistant Bursaries and the selection of tutors for tutorials or practicals. These processes typically take place at the beginning of each year.
In 2010, the rates are:

• GAB rates per hour approximately R48 for Honours, R54 Masters, R62 PhD.

• Tutoring rate is R24 per hour if you are an undergraduate or R28 per hour if you are a post-graduate.
