Parents impressed with the first day of registration

The first day of Rhodes University’s Registration went off to an amazingly seamless start. Although students, parents, young siblings and their pets came in numbers, the registration process was so impressively well organised that there was minimal queuing periods.

Emotions ran high for those parents who came to register for the very first time in their family lives. Some came from as far as Johannesburg and Stellenbosch seeking what they call, “a serene studying environment to ensure big city lights do not destruct our children”.

Many parents accompanied their children to ensure they get first-hand experience of the life their children will be living for the next four years. They expressed enthusiasm about Sunday’s Vice Chancellor’s address and Campus Tour. The address will be at the Monument at 11am, Sunday 12 February.

“There is obviously a lot we want to be updated on by the Principal and obviously one cannot pass the opportunity to experience this amazingly well taken care of Campus. I’m particularly impressed by the architecture and legacy this place holds,” enthused Cnythia Gofu.
