Rhodes off-campus access to the Research Databases
Off-campus access is available to authorized Rhodes users, provided they have registered at the Library for the current year. For off-campus access, you will need to provide your Rhodes borrower barcode NUMBER, which is the 8-digit number that appears on the reverse side of your Rhodes Library / Student / Staff card, and PIN to access these resources. (Set up a PIN under the Catalogue Option: My Library Record on OPAC).

Some databases may be accessed on-campus only due to publisher licensing restrictions. An example hereof is Datastream.
A third category of databases are password accessible. The login codes for these databases can be found on the Rhodes Intranet. When accessing this Intranet site from off-campus, you will be prompted to use your Novell login, which is the same as the login you use to access your Rhodes e-mail account. Please keep these login codes confidential! They are to be used by bona fide Rhodes staff and students only.
