Teacher Resource Centre
The Teacher Resource Centre (TRC), situated in the Education Department on St. Peters Campus, is a facility used by Rhodes staff and students, local teachers and educators, and visitors. The centre has an open floor plan accommodating the collection, study tables, photocopying facilities, resource area, and a computer station which provides access to the OPAC, online databases and electronic resources.
The Collection
The TRC houses textbooks, children’s fiction including readers, teacher resource packs, classroom based books that deal with professional practice, dictionaries (pupil dictionaries and language dictionaries for Reference), multimedia & AV, and teaching aids such as posters, puzzles and games. A small number of professional practice journals are also housed in the TRC.
Education books and journals on education theory, research and pedagogy are housed in the Main Library with the Humanities & Education collection on Level 3.
The Education Subject Guide is designed to help you find and use education resources available to you in or via the TRC and the Rhodes University Main Library.
The TRC is open Mondays to Friday 09h00 to 13h00 & 14h00 to 17h00
