Periodicals catalogues
OPAC:
The On-line Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) provides bibliographic information of all periodical titles obtained since 1994. In addition 80% of all the older titles have been added to the OPAC. Location, journal holdings, latest issue received and journal bibliographic information is found on the OPAC.
Electronic Journals: A-to-Z List

Card Catalogue
The Periodicals card catalogue reflects the older holdings of the Periodicals collection, although is gradually being replaced by the OPAC. Library users are advised to search the OPAC first. The Periodicals card catalogue is located in the Basement, along with the other card catalogues.
Arrangement on the shelves
Titles to which we currently subscribe are arranged by Dewey Decimal Classification number. Those from 000-499 are shelved on the Middle Floor in a separate sequence from the books of that number.
Periodicals from 500-999 are shelved on the Top Floor in a separate sequence from the books. This is with the exception of those classified from 830-899, which are shelved in Compactus 1 in the Basement.
Old titles to which we no longer subscribe are shelved in title order in the Compactus units in the Basement.

- Searches for articles by author, title or subject should be done using the online databases.
