It is a great pleasure to welcome Prof Nigel Bishop to the Department of Mathematics (Pure & Applied) where he has taken up the position of Professor and Head of Department. He is seen here with the Dean of Science, Ric Bernard, and his wife, Özlem Tastan Bishop, who has joined the Biochemistry department. Farewell to Ms Beverley Trollip (March 2009)
The Department of Mathematics was sad to say goodbye to Ms Beverley Trollip after faithfully serving the department for more than four years as secretary. An enjoyable evening was had by all on 16 March 2009 as we thanked her for her invaluable contriubution to the department.
