Dr Mike Mhlolo is attached to the FRF Mathematics Education Chair as a Post Doctoral Researcher from March 2011 - March 2013 on the Mathematics Teacher Enrichment Project (MTEP). This project aims to improve the quality of teaching of in-service Mathematics Teachers in participating Secondary Schools in and around Grahamstown.
His PhD in Mathematics Education "From Coherence in Theory to Coherence in Practice" was a stock-take of the intended, tested and enacted National Curriculum Statement for Mathematics in South Africa. Prior to his Doctoral studies he was a Senior then Principal Lecturer at Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo Polytechnic.
