Project outline:
An investigation into how cell phones can be used to support teaching and learning of Mathematics using Visual Technology for the Autonomous Learning of Mathematics (VITALmaths) video clips in the teaching of Pythagoras' Theorem in Grade 10 in four schools in the Grahamstown District, South Africa.
How research links to the Chair:
This study is a contribution to the VITALmaths project and the FRF Mathematics Education Chair's objective to finding innovative solutions for teaching Mathematics using accessible technology. The research aims to capitalise on the flexible potential of cell phones and their ubiquitous use amongst today's youth.
