How It'll Affect You — Telephone Management System
At some point during the telephony renewal, we'll be replacing the current telephone management system (TMS). This system is responsible for keeping track of the calls you make, and allows us to send your department their monthly phone bill.
While we have some idea of what we'd like to achieve with the new TMS, a replacement has not yet been selected. Because the potential solutions vary so much, it is difficult for us to predict the likely impact of this change right now. Needless to say, you'll still get a bill ;-). But exactly how it is delivered to you, and how it will interact with the general ledger system, is not known at this stage.
