Planning for second phase of phone rollout

The installation of the first batch of phones is in progress - Biological Sciences, HKE and Sports Union will be completed early next week.

The next batch of about 300 phones should be delivered on Monday 7th Feb, and we expect to start rolling them out towards the end of that week.

These phones will be installed in:

Main Library ~ 30 phones
Africa Media Matrix ~ 70 phones
Botany Dept and Dean of Science ~ 14 phones
Physics Dept ~ 20 phones
Geography Dept, Print Unit, NTEU ~ 20 phones
Geology Dept ~ 15 phones
Psychology Dept ~ 27 phones
English Dept ~ 17 phones
Economics, Management ~ 33 phones
CHERTL/Old Geology ~ 12 phones
Linguistics ~ 10 phones
PSAM/CSA ~ 18 phones
Sociology ~ 14 phones
Catering HQ ~ 18 phones

Detailed arrangements will be made with these areas before their phones are deployed.

Phase 3 of the rollout will consist of about 500 phones, and these will be delivered about two weeks after those for phase 2.  There will be about 400 phones in phase 4, the final phase.
