Who's involved in the Phone Renewal Project?

Within Rhodes, the renewal project is being overseen by the Information Technology Division.  The IT Division were responsible for selecting a solution, motivating for financing, and will see the project through to its completion.

We've selected a completely new IP telephony solution provided by Avaya under their recently-acquired Nortel brand. This will completely replace the current PBX.

It will be supplied, installed and configured by Business Connexion, who are the local partner and supplier. They'll also be responsible for providing us with ongoing support and maintenance once the project is complete.

Note that whilst both the vendor and supplier are new to Rhodes in a telephony context, we've had a long-standing relationship with BCX in other areas, and we've been using Nortel's network products on campus for many years.

Some components, such as the telephone management and fax systems will probably be provided by a third party.
