Apart from the highly successful WildREACH project, RU GREEN is also engaging in a number of environmental education intiatives. 

Film Festival: through the screening of various different environmentally oriented movies we are raising awareness around various different environmental issues. 

We are attempting to work with the Plant-for-the-Planet initiative to develop a Grahamstown schools involvement in the Plant-for-the-Planet Campaign. 

In 2011 we held a widely acclaimed inter-disciplinary lecture series on climate change and COP 17 in partnership with numerous different stakeholders. In 2012 we aim to do the same analysing the outcomes of Rio + 20

As part of the Sea Pledge Project we aim to raise awareness around ocean conservation and along those lines we have spread information and pamphlets about the South African Sustainable Sea Food Initiative to all of the fish vendors in Grahamstown.
