Environmental Education

Apart from the highly successful WildREACH project, RU GREEN is also engaging in a number of environmental education intiatives. 

We are working with the Plant-for-the-Planet initiative to develop a Grahamstown schools involvement in the Plant-for-the-Planet Campaign. Along these lines we are working to try and develop a network of eco-clubs at schools throughout Grahamstown.

In 2011 we held a widely acclaimed inter-disciplinary lecture series on climate change and COP 17 in partnership with numerous different stakeholders.  

Film Festival: through the screening of various different environmentally oriented movies we aim to raise awareness around various different environmental issues. 

At the 2011 SciFest we delivered a number of lectures on marine conservation in partnership with the Sustainable Seas Trust.
