Warm welcome to PHELPS HOUSE!

Phelps house is proudly located within St Mary’s Hall which has a strong academic record on campus. Phelps has welcomed generations of young women since first opening its doors many years ago.

The residence has become a space where young women of different nationalities and different cultures to explore and understand their similarities and differences- and an integral part of the Rhodes experience.

Girls that live at Phelps House are friendly, live together like a close-knit family and provide each other with support and this has become the ethos of the house. This is made possible by the fairly small number of 50 young women in the residence making it easier for each young woman to know her fellow res mates.

There's an enthusiastic team of students who work hard to organise smooth running of the residence, who plan fun entertainment events, and who you can always approach with any questions, or problems. This team of dedicated students is your House Committee, together with your Subwardens and Warden.
