Poloko Mosesi

Poloko Mosesi was born and raised in Kroonstad Free State. She is the eldest daughter of five. She is studying towards a Master’s degree in Industrial and Economic Sociology. Poloko’s academic interest specifically lie in political economy. Her research paper focuses on the impact of microfinance on who women who are dependent of Children’s grant. She sets outs to interrogate two opposing arguments: whether microfinance is a tool of development or it leads to debt bondage. Her supervisor is Prof Lucien Van de Walt
