My name is Patience Sibanda, an ambitious and determined young lady from Gwanda one of the smallest town in Zimbabwe. I am currently doing full time Masters in Development Studies in the Department of Sociology at Rhodes University. I did my Honors Degree in Sociology at the University of Zimbabwe. My key interests are teaching, writing and fieldwork. My thesis is focused on evaluating the effectiveness of poverty alleviation strategies in empowering women both at community and household level.
