More than 150 students from Universities across the country will compete in the University Sport South Africa (USSA) Supa pool championship hosted by Rhodes University from the 2nd to the 7th of December 2012.

Rhodes University; Alec Mullins Hall will be the hub of activities where students will be battling it out and showcasing their skills in Black Ball Rules.

For the Rhodes University pool club, this marks the climax of what has been a tremendous year for its members. The club has witnessed no less than nine of its players representing Eastern Province 8 Ball Association at National Championships with Manqoba Hlatshwayo obtaining his Protea colours in the U/23 age group.

In the recent Rhodes University Sport Council Awards, the club was awarded the “Most improved club of the year and for the Performance of the Year”

This event will be a different ball game and the stakes will be high as this is the highest level of Supa Pool participation that USSA has to offer.

This is a must see event, from perfect breaks to white washes –the game is not over until you sink the BLACK!
