Sports Bar

The Rhodes Sports Bar housed at the Old Mutual Pavillion at the end of African Street is a great pictures setting for Students, Departmental or Business functions.
The Bar
A prime venue which is located in a quiet environment, the Rhodes Sports Bar has the distinct advantage of having an indoor area braai area to cater for those chilly winter nights and a great view in summer.
The Sports Bar mainly caters for the Sports Clubs at Rhodes, but is also open to the wider student and staff population along with the Grahamstown community.
Operating Times/Capacity
The Sports Bar is mainly open Friday and Saturday, and is open for hiring out during the rest of the week - book early to avoid dissappointment (book at least 1 week before your function)!

The indoor braai area
2 Televisions - with DSTV coverage
Mens and ladies ablution facilities
Verander with benches - can seat up to 40 people
The OMP (Old Mutual Pavillion) Lounge - can be used for conferences and meeting or small gatherings
Darts board
Bookings/Hire of Sports Bar
In order to hire the Sports Bar for a function. Booking forms should be collected from Rhodes Sport for a function should be collected from Rhodes Sports Administration at the end of African Street, Old Mutual Pavillion from Andrew Matatu.
