Sailing

Sailing and Kite Surfing has proven to be one of the more popular sports in South Africa, and is now the fastest growing sport in South Africa. We pride ourself on giving students at Rhodes University the opportunity to sail and kite surf, which would others wise not be available to them. Sailing at Rhodes is mainly done on Dinghys (Lasers, Sprogs and Rebels) according to experience, however we frequently sail yacht (inlcuding the 64ft Warrior). With one of the best Kite Surfing spots situated a mere hours drive from Grahamstown, Cannon Rocks is where much of the Kite Surfing is done at Rhodes. Weekend and weekday trips are often organised with a minimum of 2 trips a week (wind dependant). Come Sailing and kiting with us, its wet 'n wild!
