Communications and Marketing Department

The PR Department has been revived in December 2007. It has been vacant since 1996. The Director had a huge task of managing the museum, as well as doing the PR job all these years. The Communications and Marketing Department, previously known as the Public Relations Department, works very closely particularly with the Exhibition and Education Departments.

Some of the main tasks of the Department are to:

Market the museum; update website; produce the museum's newsletter_Sept 2008; represent the museum in tourism forums; attend seminars, workshops, training and conferences; fundraise for the museum; organise events and catering that include membership and board meetings; liaise with media for publicity; as well as taking photographs and producing videos.

Anyone interested in joining the museum as a volunteer or a member is free to download the Membership Form.

The department, together with the custodians in the front foyer, is in charge of a number of publications that are on sale. Listed below are a number of available publications. Moreover, booking kit for the Sciefest Festival and the National Arts Festival are obtainable a month before each festival.
