Graduate students
We offer training for students at undergraduate and postgraduate level (Honours, MSc and PhD).
Undergraduate courses in Environmental Water Quality
We offer a 4 week undergraduate course in Environmental Water Quality which can be chosen by students in the Departments of Zoology, Entomology, Geography, Microbiology and Environmental Science, at Rhodes University.
Capacity building within contracts
In various contracts we have specified mentorship and capacity-building components.
Introductory course in Managing Environmental Water Quality
We offer a one week certified course for outside clients, including industry, water resource managers and government officials. This course covers aquatic ecotoxicology, biomonitoring and analysis of environmental water chemistry data.
Training course for social consultants
We have developed a general course to train social consultants to communicate with rural communities about the environmental basis of water resources. The course material was published as a WRC Handbook "Some, for all, forever: water ecosystems and people" , and the course can be presented on request.
