Configuring an Address Book in Outlook 2007

To configure Outlook 2007 to connect to Rhodes' LDAP address book, do the following:

• Go to the Tools menu and select Account Settings...
• Select the Address Books tab and click New...
• Select Internet Directory Service (LDAP) and click Next
• For Server Name: enter ldap.ru.ac.za.
• Click on the More Settings... button. You may see a warning about needing to restart; click OK if this happens.
• Choose the Search tab of the Microsoft LDAP Directory dialog
• In the Search base: field enter o=RU
• Click OK to close the LDAP Directory dialog, then click Next to advance the wizard.
• Click Finish
