Configuring an Address Book in Outlook Express

To configure Outlook Express to connect to Rhodes' LDAP address book, do the following:

• In Outlook Express, go to the Tools menu and select Options to open the Address Book.
• In the Address Book, go to the Tools menu and select Accounts...
• On the Directory Service tab, click the Add... button to start the directory server wizard
  • For Internet directory (LDAP) server: type ldap.ru.ac.za. Click Next
  • For "Do you want to check addresses using this directory service? select Yes. Click Next''
  • Click Finish to close the wizard.
• Now find ldap.ru.ac.za in the list of accounts, select it, and click on the Properties button
• Select the Advanced tab
• Set the Search base: to o=RU
• Click OK to close the ldap.ru.ac.za Properties dialog, and Close to close the Internet Accounts dialog.
