Turn Off Java Updates

• Click 'Start'
• Click 'Control Panel'
• Double click on the 'Java' icon

If the Java icon is not shown, click on 'Classic View' on the left hand task pane to make it visible.

• This will display the 'Java Control Panel'
• Click on the 'Update' tab
• Un-tick the 'Check for Updates Automatically' tickbox
• Click 'OK'
