Configuring an Address Book in Outlook 2007
To configure Outlook2007 to connect to Rhodes' LDAP address book, do the following:
- Go to the Tools menu and select Account Settings...
- Select the Address Books tab and click New...
- Select Internet Directory Service (LDAP) and click Next
- For Server Name: enter ldap.ru.ac.za.
- Click on the More Settings... button. You may see a warning about needing to restart; click OK if this happens.
- Choose the Search tab of the Microsoft LDAP Directory dialog
- In the Search base: field enter o=RU
- Click OK to close the LDAP Directory dialog, then click Next to advance the wizard.
- Click Finish
