* Obtained a M.Sc degree at UNISA in 1986 and a Ph.D degree in Mathematical Statistics at RAU (University of Johannesburg) in 1994.

* Lectured in the Department of Statistics at Rhodes University from 1985 to 1989, at RAU from 1990 to 1998 and University of Johannesburg from 2000 to 2010.

* Project Manager at Unibank in the Risk Management Division (Johannesburg) in 1999.

* Appointed as Senior Lecturer in the Department of Statistics at Rhodes University in 2011.

* Teaches at all undergraduate levels in Mathematical Statistics and Honours and Master courses in both Applied Statistics and Mathematical Statistics.
