Connect to Jackal

Jackal is a network file server that is used by students to store their various files. This allows files to be saved in one central location which is accessible from almost every computer on campus, and even computers on the Internet. When logging onto a public lab computer, this file space is automatically mounted and looks just like another drive on the local computer. Any files that are saved to this 'drive' are automatically saved on the central file server. The file space that is accessible on Jackal is often referred to as the computer's 'L Drive'.

There are various ways in which you can connect to Jackal from non-lab computers that do not automatically mount this file space. This is useful if you would like to access files that you saved in the public lab from your computer in your residence or at home.
