KEISKAMMA TAPESTRY in the University Council Chamb
Date Released: Wed, 9 February 2011 13:29 +0200
This is a call for all students to contribute ideas for the content of the Keiskamma tapestry which has been formally commissioned for the Council Chamber. This in order to replace the portraits of former VC?s which had been removed because it did not reflect the culture of equality and transformation which the University seeks to encompass in light of Chapter 2 "The Bill of Rights", enshrined in the Constitution.
If there are any ideas or suggestions towards the refurbishment of the Council Chamber, it is essential for you to communicate these ideas to either of the undersigned. The paintings will be a channel toward describing Rhodes? history and its heritage.
