Constitutional Awareness Drive
Date Released: Wed, 21 September 2011 00:00 +0200
This Saturday will be Legal Activisms finale event of the year – the Constitutional Awareness Drive.
We will be transporting students into various parts of the Grahamstown East community where we will hand out copies of the Bill of Rights and talk to people broadly about the Constitution as well as the legal problems that people are facing.
This process is as much about promoting awareness about the Constitution and the law as it is an opportunity for our members and Rhodes students to get some valuable experience in presenting the law as well as learning about the community in which we live. We encourage all of you to get involved since, if last year is anything to go by, it will be a great experience for everyone.
We will meet at 8:00 – 8:30 in the Moot Room at the Law faculty on Saturday the 24th (Heritage Day). During which time we will give T-shirts to the first 40 people that arrive. There will then be a short training session and then we will be transported to various points in Grahamstown. We will return by 13:00.
If you would like to join us for this great experience, please go to
