HIV Testing Drive 11-15 Feb
Date Released: Wed, 6 February 2013 14:14 +0200
Rhodes University Health Care Centre in partnership with Foundation for Professional Development (FPD) and the Department of Health (DoH) will be facilitating the first session of it’s "First Thing’s First HIV testing Campaign" during the week 11 – 15 February 2013.
This drive will include a free test for HIV and AIDS, TB screening, Blood Sugar, Blood Pressure (BP), Nutrition Assessment (BMI), Family Planning and Pap smear.
Tents will be stationed near the bicycle lawns, Steve Biko Building lawns, Kimberley dining hall lawns and the Drostdy lawns. First Things First aimed to help students, as future leaders, to be responsible, get tested for HIV, know their status and commit to behaviour that would benefit themselves and their peers. Students and staff members are encouraged to take advantage of this unique campaign. Do the right thing and be health wise.
