Professor Osa D Egonwa hails from Idumuje Uno, in Aniocha North local government area of Delta State, Nigeria. He holds a BA (Hons) degree in Fine and Applied Arts. MA and MFA degree in painting from the University of Benin Benin-City, Nigeria. He has been teaching drawing, painting, Art History and Art Criticism at the University for almost three decades now. He was at various times Head of Department at the defunct Bendel State University, Ekpoma. He was pioneer Dean College of Human Development, at Covenant University, Ota Ogun State. He was president of Society of Nigerian Artists (SNA) from 2001 to 2005. He is incumbent president of the Society of Non-fiction Authors of Nigeria. Professor Osa D Egonwa is the author of Nigeria Art: Introductory Notes (2011), Research Methods in Visual Arts (2012) and very many scholarly articles in national and Internarional journals. He was Dean  Faculty of Arts, Delta State University, Abraka. (2006-2011). He is currently the Director Centre of Entrepreneurial Studies in the same University. He is married with children.
