The 10th International Researching Work and Learning Conference takes place at Rhodes University from 5-8 December (Eden Grove). Work and learning research is of high significance anywhere in the world but in particular in South Africa where we are faced with high levels of unemployment, too few skills, and associated challenges which need to benefit from credible and relevant research insights. Research is also needed to help us adequately understand the work and learning interface from a education and training systems perspective, including Higher Education. The conference is hosted by the Environmental Learning Research Centre, the Wits University Centre for Researching Education and Labour (REAL), SAQA and several other university partners.
We are offering very discounted rate to the Rhodes University community of R300 per session (including one tea) or R600 full day rate (all teas and lunches). We have an excellent line up of international and national keynote speakers, symposia, roundtables, interesting papers and posters. The pre-conference workshop on Tracer Studies and Vocational Pedagogy would be of particular interest to Rhodes students and staff.
The detailed programme is available at http://www.rwl10.co.za/programme/programme-schedule. For programme queries please contact Prof Eureta Rosenberg, E.Rosenberg@ru.ac.za.
Book via the Conferencing Division in the form of an email to both firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com. An IDO must be accompanied with a print out of the email via internal mail should you wish to attend any of the sessions.
