Brand Pretorius is the recently retired Chief Executive of McCarthy Limited and sits on a number of boards, including ABSA and Tongaat Hulett. He doesn’t describe his stepping down on 1 March 2011 from his full-time executive position as “retirement”, but rather as “changing gear”. He continues to inspire and teach and consult around topics of business, leadership and good management principles.
