Research interest: Environmental learning in schools

I  am a student  at  Rhodes University doing  Masters in Environmental Education through the ELRC. I am a Primary school teacher by profession, and an Eco School coordinator, environmental learning ambassador, coach and mentor.

My target audience is learners and the whole school community and I reach them mainly through classroom teaching, hands on environmental stewardship projects based on the curriculum, local and environmental issues or concerns. I believe children are the future and children who know and understand the world they live  in, learn better and take responsibility in their learning because they  learn with a purpose to know more and engage in various future education aspects. Hence quality of the education we provide them and its  relevance are of greatest importance.

Key words: Education, Quality Relevance, Curriculum
