The University shutdown period commences on Monday, 18th of December 2023 (the last working day is Friday, 15th of December 2023) and ends Tuesday, 02nd of January 2024. The first working day in 2024 will be Wednesday, 03rd of January 2024.
Certain areas of the University are required to remain operational during the shutdown period or parts thereof. Where this applies to you or your department, please refer to the Protocol document below, which will guide in terms of how work arrangements over this time are to be compensated.
An application form to perform work over Shutdown, as well as an Attendance Register, is included in the Protocol document.
