Summary:

My name is KECHNIT Djamel and I have studied hydraulic Engineering and a Masters's (M.Sc.) at National Hydraulic High School in Algeria. During my undergraduate studies and masters, I became more interested in Hydraulics modeling because it was a tool that allowed me to understand the hydraulics behaviours in the environment, I think that the training at the University of Kinshasa allow me to consolidate and further improve my knowledge acquired during my graduate training received. The work in these areas perfectly matches my aspiration and my experience will able me to make a significant contribution to this research.

Research:

My PhD research at University of Kinshasa concerns the management of water resources in the Congo Basin, developing appropriate approaches and scenarios to find practical solutions to improve the service of the water sector in different areas ( AEP - Sanitation - irrigation - electric power generation ), I also work in my training in Algeria on the management of drinking water networks and develop it from a GIS platform coupled with hydraulic models and remote management systems to represent the actual hydraulic behavior in water networks distributions and act quickly and effectively in the event of a reported anomaly
