Rhodes MA in Creative Writing [MACW] launched the 2014 edition of Tyhini at the Red Café High Street Grahamstown on 15th November 2014. Taking its name from a Xhosa exclamation of astonishment, disbelief, sometimes skepticism, Tyhini is an annual journal featuring work produced by students and staff of the Rhodes University MA in creative writing course.

Contributors include Jo-Ann Bekker, Ayanda Billie, José Claassen, Brian Dingle, Jana du Plessis, Connie Fick, Zukile Fundakubi, Henali Kuit, Kerry Hammerton, Napo Masheane, Zongezile Matshoba, Jeannie McKeown, Moses Mtileni, Kabelo Mofokeng, Thabiso Mofokeng, Shelter Musavengana, Chwayita Ngamlana, Simphiwe Nolutshungu, Maruping Phepheng, Louella Sullivan, Tania Terblanche, Laura Watermeyer and Daniel Whitehorn.
