Matriculated at Belgravia Art High School, East London. Tertiary Education: Completed a three-year Diploma in Fine Art at (CATE) College for Advanced Technology Education, Port Elizabeth. Served a five-year apprenticeship, (two and a half years at Rathcolb Jeweller’s, Port Elizabeth and two and a half years at Gold Nugget Jeweller’s, East London). Completed and Qualified as Goldsmith and Diamond Setter. (Trade test taken at Olifantsfotein). Qualified as a Layout Artist while working at Kwikcopy Printing, East London. Employed to train an Apprentice in Goldsmithing, Fort Beaufort. Employed at Grocott’s Mail as a Repro-compiler/Layout Artist, Grahamstown (fourteen years). Employed as a Publications Officer/Editorial Assistant at the (ISEA) Institute for the Studies of the Englishes in Africa, Rhodes University, Grahamstown since 2002.
