Siphokazi Magadla is a Next Generation Social Sciences in Africa Fellow (2013–14), whose groundbreaking work focuses on gender and post-conflict political life in South Africa. A 2016 graduate of Rhodes University, Dr. Magadla is now a full-time faculty member at the same university. She recently played a prominent role in the prestigious Thabo Mbeki South Africa Day forum. Here she discusses her research on South African women in the anti-apartheid struggle.
