He is a Rhodes alumni (1977) and comes from a long family tradition of Rhodians going back to his father in the 1920’s. Both of his brothers, Ian (1969) and Duncan (1971), also both studied law at Rhodes. His wife, Kary, is also a Rhodes alumni (1976) as are their children, Christopher (LLB) and Kathryn (B Journ). He practises as an advocate in Grahamstown and has joined the staff as a part-time lecturer, teaching Insolvency & Winding-Up/Liquidation to the final year LLB Class and Delict B to the penultimate year class. He says it’s a pleasure to be back on the Rhodes campus and to be putting his teaching skills back into practice. Before qualifying as an advocate he taught at Graeme College and Kingswood College.
