After positive feedback received from many academics and students who used JoVe in 2020 for online teaching and learning, the RU Library has added this valuable resource to its collections. The use of JoVE’s various video and webinar collections holds many benefits for teaching and learning at Rhodes, including:

  • Increasing teaching and learning efficiency in STEM research, thereby improving productivity
  • Increasing learning outcomes as learning takes place at a point of need and videos and webinars can be repeated for increased understanding
  • Cut costs of replicating expensive experiments in teaching of techniques
  • Assist with the transition to online learning environments and allows for blended learning
