Terrestrial. Species are found on surface soil, on the bark of trees.

      Also recorded by Paclt (1967)
      Elsenburg, on native olive bushes, 24.vii.30 leg HW; 28.viii.27 leg Dr. Hesse and localities in Cape Province.
