Cremilda Macuácua is a Human Rights and Peace activist, she speaks out against community-based violence, a Green Champion on facilitating understanding of climate change and Junior Researcher who contributed on the conduct of research studies on Nutrition, Gender and Climate Change, Sexual Reproductive Health and Maternal Neonatal Health including Monitoring and Evaluation of Social Projects in Mozambique. She has a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Dodoma, Tanzania (2014); Diploma on Disarmament, Non-Proliferation and Peace Related Issues from The Women Scholarship for Peace: Global South at the United Nations mandated University for Peace, Costa Rica (2017). She is currently a Postgraduate student under OSISA Scholarship for African Women Media Leaders (2019) at the Sol Plaatje Institute for Media Leadership at Rhodes University, South Africa.

She is a Civic Leadership YALI Regional Leadership Southern Africa Alumna, participated in the II African Youth Conference on Democracy and Good Governance in Maputo (2015) and other Youth Forums aimed at promoting youth participation on decision-making processes and enhancing their role in development. Over the past 6 months, she had been involved in Advocacy for Civil Society Organizations, Organizational Capacity Building and Review of Partners’ Financial Reports as an Intern at Counterpart International on its Civic Partnership for Good Governance Program - PCBG.

Cremilda is passionate about Peace, Human rights, Environment, Development and working with foreign nations to bring about social changes and make a better world. She intends to increase the social impact of her work while developing outstanding female leaders, explore the importance of women in leadership to influence the African living conditions. Her biggest aspiration is to become a diplomat and an influencer to public security and peace policies in Mozambique
